Born Rosario Benoît Séguin - May 1963 - Gatineau, Qué.
I have always been attracted to the visual contemplation of beauty and light.
I have been given a D80 Nikon in 2010 and vowed to give back to others.
I had brought my D80 in a bar to photoshoot my friends, came along a stranger who asked to handle my camera, I was for ever edified by the sheer boldness of this person twisting the buttons, the lens and spontaneously shooting, testing, exploring...
That was the beginning of my humble photo adventure.
Through 2010 to 2016, I have created many photo montages for communitary
groups, more specifically for the Jardin Reboul group and Les FAMIH in Gatineau.
Since my arrival in Kingston in May 2016, I have bought two new cameras...
my budget was limited at first... Life is good. Because of my humble beginnings, It has kept me believing that it is creativity more so than technology that should foster beauty. I stay humble.
Most of my Kingston photo adventure has been shot with my Nikon D7100. I have no pretention whatsoever, I am self-taught and consider myself to be a novice in progress. My new D850 is pushing me more to perfection. Projects will come!

Mon regard a toujours été
attiré vers la lumière et les beautés à contempler.
En 2010, ayant reçu un Nikon D80 gratuitement,
je fis le voeu de donner
gratuitement en retour.
Voulant photographier mes amis dans un bar, mon D80 en main, un étranger voulu essayer l'appareil...
Ce jour fut décisif, car j'avais sous mes yeux un exemple d'autodidacte à ma mesure, sans pudeur, manipulant le D80 comme un jouet à découvrir.
J'ai gardé son élan jusqu'à ce jour, le faisant mien.
J'ai beaucoup donné à des groupes communautaires, particulièrement au Jardin Reboul et les FAMIH de Gatineau.
Kingston est mon nouveau terrain depuis 2016. Budget limité au début, je suis resté humble, me rassurant que ma créativité ne devrais pas dépendre autant de la technologie.
Mon nouvel appareil Nikon D850 me pousse à me perfectionner et je reste sans prétention. Les projets sont à venir.
Je me considère néophyte en devenir.
